Welcome to the world of real organics
|
||||
|
There are no shortage of companies labelling their products and/or themselves organic, natural and even certified organic; |
EVERY PRODUCT In June 2009 we became the first and only company in the world to achieve this.

Important things discovered about the cosmetics industry
- Many companies call themselves 'certified organic' when in reality only 'some' of their products are certified organic; their remaining products fail certification.
- There is more than one certifying body you can approach to certify your product but only a select few have the high standards we all assume the words 'certified organic' stand for.
- Prior to June '09, not one cosmetics company in the world had succeeded in achieving real high-level certification for every product in a range including face, body, dental and hair care; they all made unhealthy compromises.
Australian Certified Organic is the gold standard for real high-level cosmetics certification; there is no higher standard in Australia. Here are 3 examples

So next time you see a company or product range claiming to be 'certified organic', take a closer look and see if their claim is real. Ask yourself:
- Are all the products certified, each one bearing the logo of a reputable certifier like ACO?
- Do they use synthetic ingredients?
(eg. vitamins, surfactants, proteins etc)
Rest assured

|
We are 100% cruelty free.Neither our products nor our ingredients have been tested on animals. Some companies still employ this cruel practice. |
|
|
We are 100% vegan.Using animal parts for products or packaging is cruel, unhealthy & unnecessary. |
|
|
We are 100% palm oil free.Look for palm oil, palmitate or simply "vegetable" oil on labels. Some things like glycerine can be derived from palm oil without mentioning it on the label. We investigate our suppliers and their ingredients before purchasing. |
Orang-utan Survival: It's In The Palm of Your Hand
Palm oil is a cheap, low quality oil but it's not toxic and you can source Palm oil which is certified organic and not tested on animals. So what's the problem with companies who use it for making junk-food, soap and other skincare products?
Demand for bigger Palm plantations causes expansive clearing of forests in south-east Asia. Those forests also happen to be the last remaining Orang-utan habitats.
As a result:
- Every hour the equivalent of 300 soccer fields of forest are cleared.
- 50 Organg-utans are killed every week.
- At the present rate, Orang-utans will be extinct in 10 years.
- The average Aussie consumes about 10kg of palm oil per year in the food they eat and the products they use.
